    Another popular story, associated with the Mangadu temple, states that Kamakshi performed severe penance (tapas) in a fire to reunite with Lord Shiva. 

  • Arrival in Kanchipuram: 
    After her penance, she was brought to Kanchipuram, where she resides as the presiding deity of the Kamakshi Amman Temple, a significant center of divine feminine energy (Shakti).
